At the Gaslight-Baker Theatre, we believe theatre is for everyone. Our education programs give students of all ages — from curious beginners to passionate performers — a place to explore their creativity, build confidence, and find their voice. Whether it’s through summer camps, weekly classes, or adult workshops, we’re proud to help our community learn, grow, and discover the magic of live theatre.
Summer Theatre Camps
Every summer, the Gaslight-Baker Theatre buzzes with energy as students ages 5–18 take the stage. Our Summer Theatre Camps are designed for every age group — with dedicated sessions for young children, elementary, junior high, and high school students.
Each weeklong camp guides students through the full theatre experience, from character creation and rehearsals to a final performance for family and friends. Campers learn acting, movement, teamwork, and creative expression — all while having an unforgettable time.
For those ready to dive deeper, our two-week Musical Theatre Camp gives older students the chance to experience the excitement of performing a full musical, complete with choreography, music, and stage production.
Spring Break Camp
When school takes a break, creativity takes center stage. Our Spring Break Theatre Camp packs a full production process into one lively week of acting, storytelling, and fun. It’s a perfect introduction for new performers and a great tune-up for returning students who can’t wait for summer.
Spring & Fall Classes
Theatre doesn’t stop when summer ends. During the spring and fall, we offer specialized six to eight week classes that meet once or twice a week. These small-group sessions focus on acting technique, improvisation, character development, dance, music, and even behind-the-scenes work like stagecraft and design. Each class builds skills while encouraging collaboration and creativity in a supportive environment.
Adult Education
We believe education doesn’t have an age limit. Our Adult Education Classes invite community members to step into the world of theatre — whether you’re looking to explore acting for the first time, brush up on performance skills, or just try something new. It’s a welcoming space to learn, laugh, and connect.
Scholarships & Accessibility
