Musical Tap: Kids
Taught by Natalie Moreland and Sarah Mills
Who Should Join: This class is perfect for kids aged 8 to 17 who want to learn how to tap dance, improve rhythm and body coordination, and develop skills in learning and retaining dance combinations.
Class Details:
- Class Size: Limited to 20 students
- Schedule: Wednesdays and Fridays, 5:00-6:30 PM, starting February 2025 (6-week program, 12 classes total)
- Cost: $200 (includes a non-refundable $75 deposit upon enrollment; the remaining balance is due at the first class or as needed). Families enrolling multiple siblings receive a $50 discount.
What to Bring:
- Supplies: Chair, Marley flooring (if available), and mirrors
- Students need: Tap shoes, comfortable clothing (dress code: hair tied up, shorts that reach mid-thigh or fingertip length, no midriffs)
Class Schedule:
- 5:00-5:10: Greeting and preparation
- 5:10-5:15: Guided warm-up
- 5:15-5:30: Introduction or review of steps/material
- 5:30-6:00: Learn new steps and build on combinations
- 6:00-6:05: Break
- 6:05-6:25: Review and rehearse full combination
- 6:25-6:30: Closing and dismissal
Class Goals:
- Recognize and perform tap steps as instructed by the choreographer
- Execute combinations to various songs
- Memorize and sequence steps into cohesive combinations
- Mix and match steps to create unique routines
- Showcase learned skills in a final performance
- Develop an understanding of rhythm and recognize musical patterns
Showcase Performance: The program concludes with a showcase featuring:
- A condensed class demonstration
- Small group combo performances
- A full-group performance

Who Should Join: Adults looking to learn tap dancing, improve rhythm and body coordination, and gain skills in learning and retaining dance combinations.
Class Details:
- Class Size: Limited to 20 participants
- Schedule: Fridays, 7:00-8:30 PM, starting February 19-
- Cost: $150 (includes a non-refundable $75 deposit upon enrollment; the remaining balance is due at the first class). DUO Discount: $50 off for couples, friends, or partners enrolling together (Total for two: $250).

- Supplies: Chair, Marley flooring (if available), and mirrors
